Titles have become important around our household. VP, COO, CEO, Senior Something or Another...you get the point. As a mom boss, I like to think of myself as a CEO. In fact, most mom's should consider themselves CEOs...Chief Everything Officer!
It's impossible for me to do this job alone and no matter how much other's try and help...my position requires some supernatural intervention...or maybe I should say a divine intervention. When I decided to follow Jesus, he became the one I aspired to be like...not Wonder Woman or Miss America although I do love a sparkling crown and gold cuffs...Jesus is the one and only one that I needed to be like. He is the standard. Jesus is my CEO and He is the BEST. When I can't decide what to do, I ask Jesus to help guide my way. It's a simple system. I read somewhere that even the simplest of systems can sometimes be the most difficult ones to follow. Here comes that perfectly imperfect...I also read somewhere that consistency was more important than perfection.
Over the past few months...who am I kidding...since the beginning of this year, consistency has been a thorn in my side...on a positive note the only thing I have been consistent in is being inconsistent. I am a "glass is half full" kinda gal so I like to keep things positive. Seriously though, I have struggled with all areas of my life except for one...my relationship with Jesus. Regardless of the title that you hold, I believe that our perfectly imperfect selves have the ability to be great examples for others. We often look to others to find those examples of goodness, helpfulness and inspiration.
Social media can be so helpful to affirm the positive examples that others are setting. When we engage in posts of those we follow, we see the difference they are making in their lives and the lives of others. Have you ever wondered what happens when they stop being so inspiring? When those daily posts that you enjoy so much and that gives you an extra pep in your step seem to come to a screeching halt, do you ever wonder why? Some do, but I am guilty of not being concerned and moving on to the next thing.
You see often times we get caught up in only what makes us better and we forget that those we find inspiration from need inspiring too. Jesus shows us a beautiful example of His day-to-day activities by sharing parables to His followers to help them understand more clearly the messages He had for them. When my world seems upside down and I feel less than inspired or even productive for that matter, the things that bring me joy often get caught up in the inconsistencies of my life leaving me searching for inspiration...that is when I turn to my CEO...Jesus. I am confident that He can guide me and provide me with the inspiration I need to inspire others. I use the #influencer in all of my posts because that is what I want to be, but not just any ole #influencer but one that strives to be most like the original #influencer...JESUS.
Photo Note: Another inconsistency is my inability to prepare for my front porch photos so that I don't look like I just crawled out of bed. So, I give you Miss Pearl...who is consistently ADORBS.
Great messag!❤️
