There is nothing better than a crisp Fall morning, snuggled up in my favorite wrap, sitting on my front porch with Jesus, java and Pearl...no jewels this morning. Every mom has special gifts. Take a moment and think about a special talent that your mama possesses. My mama has many talents, but the one I love the most is her ability to create beautiful things through crocheting. Sometimes I even put in special requests that appear for my birthday or Christmas. I can honestly say there is no better gift than one made by my mama.
The word fierce can be taken a couple of different ways. For example, my beloved Pearl is fierce in her approach to hunting...she is a force that is aggressive and determined to capture her prey. But when I use the phrase BE FIERCE to describe my mama, it truly epitomizes who she is. Shakespeare once wrote, "though she be but little she is fierce." Again, the perfect example of my mama.
From a young age, I was taught to BE FIERCE...to be confident, aggressive and determined to not only have faith in God but to protect my faith in God. As a mama, I have learned to rely on my faith. Before I had kids, I thought I knew everything about kids and now after having four kids, I have realized I know nothing about them. What I do know is that I believe, much like my mama, that my efforts are blessed by God and that if I am fierce and persevere the end result will be for the good of everyone around me.
If I have learned anything from my mama, it's that no matter what is going on...even in all the chaos...is that all my efforts must be handled with love. God knew what He was doing when He placed me in this life. He knew he would be here with me guiding me through all my efforts. He created me to be fierce in my efforts to love unconditionally no matter how great the challenges that come my way. So, I will continue to BE FIERCE in my faith and love and in my willingness to serve others. I will fiercely work for the Him.
