January has never been a good month for me. It’s the withdrawal of everyone going back to work, the pretty lights boxed away and the realization that my resolutions have dissolved faster than the snow on my driveway. I get thirty-one days to roll around in what…nothing. I will be the first to admit that I have successfully started off 2022 without a bang!
But I am not giving up that easily…I mean how could I. Shortly after Christmas, I purchased this sweatshirt from a new boutique in town called pretty little things. When I saw it hanging on my rack, I realized that “raising believers” is really all I want to do.
Over the last few weeks, I have all but hibernated…no Jesus, no Java and no Jewels. Did you hear it? You know…the sound of folks gasping for air because I said no Jesus! Relax…I still have Jesus…but I definitely need more though.
Sometimes I look around and everything seems to be failing apart. Facebook even gives us a friendly reminder of just how great things were last year at this time and clearly my devotion time was more consistent.
So, I am not giving up…I am not going to let the small things consume my desire to receive what God has in store for me.
